The Master of Community Planning (MCP) is an applied program, fully accredited by the Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP). The program prepared me to excel in a range of city and small-town planning, First Nations planning, development, and urban design, with a focus on emerging issues including social planning, active transportation, healthy communities, sustainable economic development, climate change, housing and planning for accessible, inclusive communities.

The Gender Studies and Social Justice Studies Program prepared me with a lens for critical thinking after graduation. Specifically, to understand the socially constructed meanings of categories such as gender, race, class, sexual orientation, age, ability, and citizenship and the intersections among them. I completed independent research on trauma-informed yoga practices and a practicum launching a participatory action research project on policing poverty.
